Face mesh loads
A machine learning model (MediaPipe by Google) downloads into your browser and maps 478 points across your face in real time. This runs entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.
PSL score is computed
Your score is calculated from the geometric ratios between those 478 points — symmetry, canthal tilt, jaw structure, midface ratio, nose proportions, and overall harmony. Median of 60 frames to smooth out noise.
Higher score wins
In ranked matches, both players are scored simultaneously over 10 seconds. Whoever has the higher median PSL at the end takes ELO from the loser. Ties are possible.

Ranked Arena
Queue up and get matched against a random opponent. 3-second countdown, then 10 seconds on the clock. Both players' PSL scores are computed simultaneously. Winner takes ELO. Your rank updates immediately. Matches are peer-to-peer — your video goes directly to your opponent, not through our server.
Aura Check
Solo mode. No opponent. Your camera feed is analyzed in real time with a live breakdown of each sub-metric — symmetry, jaw, canthal tilt, midface, nose, harmony. Use it to understand your score before going ranked. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Private Mog
Create a room and get a 4-letter code. Send it to someone. They join, you mog. Unranked — no ELO changes. Same 10-second format. Settle debates with your friends.
WHAT THE SCORE MEASURES
Your PSL score is a composite of six sub-metrics, each measuring a different aspect of facial geometry. The model maps 478 landmark points on your face and calculates ratios between them.
Compares 28 left/right landmark pairs across your face. Measures how closely the left and right sides mirror each other in both X and Y position.
Three components: jaw width relative to cheekbone width, jaw definition (gonion-to-chin drop), and chin projection depth. Strongest weighted metric.
The angle of your eye from inner to outer corner. Corrected for head roll so tilting your head doesn't change the reading. Slight positive tilt scores highest.
Ratio of your midface length (bridge of nose to base of nose) versus lower face (base of nose to chin). A balanced ratio scores well.
Nose width relative to the distance between your inner eye corners, plus nose projection. Proportional noses score higher regardless of size.
A composite of facial thirds balance, fifths ratio, hunter eye aspect ratio, interpupillary distance, lip proportions, and mouth width. Measures how well everything fits together.
Keep in mind: Scores are based on geometric ratios from a 2D webcam. Lighting, camera angle, camera quality, and distance all affect your score. This is entertainment, not a medical or psychological assessment. Your score says nothing about your worth.
PSL SCALE
PSL (Proportion, Size, Lineation) is a rating system based on measurable facial geometry. Unlike casual 1–10 ratings, PSL is calibrated to a bell curve. Most people fall between 4 and 6. A 7 is legitimately rare.
MOG ELO & RANKS
Ranked Arena uses an ELO system. You start at 400. Win and you gain ELO. Lose and you drop. The amount gained or lost depends on the score difference — a close match moves ELO a little, a blowout moves it a lot.

ELO is stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browser data, your rank resets. Forfeiting or disconnecting mid-match counts as a loss.
FAQ
Can you see my camera feed?
No. Your camera is processed entirely in your browser. During matches, your video goes directly to your opponent via peer-to-peer. We never see, store, or have access to your camera feed. See our privacy policy for the full breakdown.
Is my face being used to train AI?
No. The face analysis model (Google MediaPipe) is a pre-trained model that runs locally in your browser. We don't collect facial data and don't train or fine-tune any models.
Why does my score change between sessions?
Lighting, camera angle, distance from camera, and even slight expression changes all affect landmark detection. Your score is a real-time geometric measurement, not a fixed rating. For the most stable read, use consistent lighting and face the camera straight on.
Can my opponent record me?
We have no control over what your opponent does on their device. If someone uses screen recording software, we can't prevent that. This is the same risk as any video call. Don't show anything on camera you wouldn't want recorded.
I got banned but I didn't do anything wrong.
Bans are automatic and threshold-based — they trigger when your IP address receives multiple reports from different users in a short window. Because bans are IP-based, someone else on your network could have triggered it. Bans are temporary and expire on their own.
Can I game the score?
Good lighting and a straight-on angle will give you a more accurate (and usually higher) reading. Extreme camera angles, backlighting, or being too far away will tank your score because the landmark detection gets noisy. Expressions also matter — a neutral, relaxed face scores most consistently.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes, mogs.gg works on mobile browsers that support WebRTC and camera access (Chrome, Safari, Firefox). Performance depends on your device — the face model runs on your phone's GPU.
What age do I need to be?
18 or older. No exceptions.
